Who is it for?

  • Those wishing to learn basic life support for children and infants
  • Includes treatment for bleeding and burn

Course content includes:

  • Personal safety, assessing the incident
  • Priorities: DRSAB check and sending for help
  • Unconscious child/infant
  • Breathing and circulation
  • Resuscitation for children & infants
  • Choking
  • Dealing with blood loss
  • Burn

There will also be opportunities do discuss identification and treatment of less serious, but more common medical problems such as:

  • Febrile Convulsions
  • Croup
  • High Temperatures
  • Knocks & Bumps
  • Head Injuries
  • Bites & Stings

Qualification

  • Emergency life support (children)certificate, valid for three year

Course Summary:

  • Duration - 1 Day (09:00-16:30 hours)
  • Courses are run at various convenient locations
  • In company training available
  • Certification awarded to all successful candidates - valid for 3 years
  • Discounts available for in-company training or multiple places on open courses.
